Installer profile
Glyde Solar
You cannot hire Glyde Solar, so this page assigns no grade. Its homepage, now titled Glyde Solar, Customer Support, states plainly that the company is no longer accepting new sales opportunities and will finish all existing projects while assisting existing customers during what its own meta description calls transitioning operations. Existing customers are directed to support@glydesolar.com, with responses in 2 to 3 business days. If you found this company on a Westminster or Arvada listing while shopping for quotes, cross it off and move on.
The no-grade call rests on more than the shutdown notice. In October 2024 the company published a blog insisting it was not going out of business, and in the same post described how it actually operates: as a sales and technology platform that in select cases partners with EPCs who are the actual license holders and installers of record. Its FAQ says the same thing softer, a mix of internal teams and long term installation partners depending on the market. A company that was primarily a sales organization does not belong on an installer grading scale, the same reasoning we applied to cleaning-only businesses. That said, the Colorado paper trail is real: Glyde Solar LLC holds an active DORA electrical contractor registration, EC.0102303, issued January 24, 2022 and running through September 30, 2029, with master electrician Larry Stephen Evers as responsible individual. The telling detail is that exactly one apprentice electrician is registered under it, against long rosters at Photon Brothers and Namaste Solar. That is the license footprint of a thin field operation. The license also carries one board action, a Letter of Admonition in case 2022-7358, effective December 20, 2022 and completed in February 2023.
The identity facts do not line up, and we are saying so rather than smoothing them over. This is a Utah company, headquartered in Pleasant Grove with a Draper BBB profile, and its FAQ says it was founded in 2022 and serves Texas and Utah, never mentioning Colorado, while the Westminster BBB profile, the Colorado registration, and the Denver metro listings all evidence a Colorado operation. BBB dates the business to May 20, 2020 with incorporation August 30, 2021, against the FAQ's 2022. The Westminster BBB profile shows an A- rating, attributed to failure to respond to 1 complaint, with 14 complaints in the last 3 years and 5 closed in the last 12 months. No workmanship warranty duration is published anywhere we read; the FAQ points to manufacturer warranties and third party service networks. For a homeowner with an existing Glyde system, that is the practical takeaway: keep your contract, route equipment claims to the manufacturers, and use the support address while it still answers.
The evidence
The dates conflict. The company FAQ says Glyde Solar was founded in 2022, BBB records a business start of May 20, 2020 on both the Westminster and Draper profiles with incorporation August 30, 2021, and the Colorado electrical registration was issued January 24, 2022. However counted, the history is short, it ends at a homepage that says the company is no longer accepting new sales, and no single founding date could be verified.

The DORA license detail page records case 2022-7358, a Letter of Admonition effective December 20, 2022 and completed February 24, 2023, a government board action on the Colorado license. BBB's Westminster profile shows 14 complaints in the last 3 years, 5 closed in the last 12 months, and an A- rating attributed to failure to respond to 1 complaint; a June 2026 capture of the Draper profile showed 18 complaints before the current 14. No AG action or lawsuit naming the company was found.
No Glyde Solar entry appears in the populated 2026 Solar Power World national table of 388 contractors or the 2026 Colorado table of 32. No independent megawatt total or project count exists in this research, and with new sales halted, none is coming. Whatever volume the company moved ran partly through partner EPCs by its own description.
Glyde Solar LLC holds Colorado DORA electrical contractor registration EC.0102303, active, issued January 24, 2022, expiring September 30, 2029, with responsible master electrician Larry Stephen Evers, ME.3000886, a Utah mailing address, and exactly one registered apprentice electrician. The record is real, but the company's own 2024 blog says partner EPCs are in select cases the actual license holders and installers of record, so an active registration here never meant Glyde crews built every Glyde-sold system.
No workmanship warranty duration is published on any page read. The FAQ says systems are covered by manufacturer warranties and any applicable production guarantees from the lender or warranty provider, mentions partnerships with national service networks, and offers extended warranties, all without durations. With operations transitioning, any company-backed promise is only as good as whoever remains to honor it.

How to read this
The N/A badge means this company sits outside the installer rubric, not that it passed or failed it. Two facts drive that: it is not accepting new customers, and by its own description it sold systems that partner EPCs sometimes built and licensed. If you already own a Glyde system, your equipment warranties run to the manufacturers regardless of what happens to the company, so register them directly, and hire a currently licensed electrical contractor for service work. If a salesperson offers you a Glyde quote today, that alone is a red flag worth reporting. Our full rubric, including how our own installation business gets graded on the same scale, is on the methodology page. We are a solar installer and we partner with other solar companies. Grading is structurally separated from revenue; see disclosures.
