Company site and Solar Power World say 2008, EnergySage says 2009, BBB business start January 2011. Even on the most conservative date that is 15 years of operation. Locally owned; BBB lists owner Joshua Buck. A small shop by design: the company calls itself a small but highly efficient organization.
No lawsuits, government actions, or distress signals surfaced in our research, which is good. But BBB lists the company as Not Rated with insufficient information and states no complaint count, so there is no independent conduct record to grade in either direction. An empty file is not a clean file.

Ranked #15 on the 2026 Solar Power World Top Massachusetts Solar Contractors list with 3,750.80 kW installed in 2025, every kilowatt of it in Massachusetts, plus 106 permitted projects recorded by BuildZoom. For a 25-person Cape Cod shop, that is serious per-employee throughput and it is independently reported.
No Massachusetts HIC or electrician license number is published on the company site, its BBB profile, its EnergySage profile, or BuildZoom, which states it has not been able to verify an active license and shows only a Rhode Island license that expired in 2020. The permit trail proves someone is pulling permits, and the absence of a findable number is a documentation gap rather than proof of unlicensed work. Ask for both numbers and check them at the state Contractor Hub before signing.

No workmanship or production warranty term is published on any page we reviewed. The company states it remains available years after installation, which is a sentiment, not a term. It does publish certified installer status for Tesla Powerwall, sonnenBatterie, and Enphase, and Enphase Platinum Installer status. Get labor coverage in writing.

How to read this
This grade will confuse people who see the 5.0 EnergySage rating, so here is the distinction. Customer reviews measure satisfaction; our rubric measures what can be independently documented, and for this company the license paper trail simply is not findable. The install volume is real and Cape Cod homeowners clearly keep hiring them. If the company sends us or you its HIC and electrician numbers and they check out, this grade likely moves up a letter.
