The Rhode Island Contractors' Registration Board lists ONEGRID ENERGY CORP under registration GC-51409, valid through February 2, 2027, residential and commercial, with 0 complaints and 0 violations shown. Massachusetts lists the same corporation under HIC 215001, active through March 2, 2027. Both records name Thomas Janowski, one of the two founders. BBB rates the company A+, accredited, with zero complaints. Three separate public files, zero complaints across all of them. That combination is rarer than it should be.
The warranty language is unusually direct for a company this size. The Rhode Island battery storage page states every system includes a 10 year workmanship warranty. EnergySage describes the company as offering a lifetime warranty, which does not match the first-party 10 year statement, so get the actual term written into your contract rather than trusting either figure. OneGrid also offers both ownership and a lease or PPA route with zero down, maintenance included, and a production guarantee, and it serves Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and southeastern Massachusetts.

This B rewards verifiable state records and a published workmanship term, and it withholds the A because scale and part of the license story rest on the company's own statements. Ask OneGrid for recent comparable installations you can call, confirm the warranty term and who backs it in the contract, and if your project is in Connecticut, verify the claimed CT numbers on eLicense yourself. A nine person shop with a clean record can be an excellent hire; just size the job to the crew.
