PEG Energy is worth a quote if you are going solar in Laredo or South Texas. Start with the two names, because they confuse people and they should not. PEG Energy LLC is the brand on the website; PEG ENTERPRISES is the legal name on the license and the BBB record. The site footer claims Texas TDLR License No. 31520, and TDLR confirms exactly that: PEG ENTERPRISES of Laredo, Electrical Contractor license 31520, Active, issued February 2, 2016 and expiring February 20, 2027. The BBB complaints page uses both names on the same record. One company, two names, matching paper.
On the licensing structure: Texas has no solar contractor license. It licenses the electrician, and a solar installer operates under a TDLR Electrical Contractor license, a TECL, which names a designated master electrician. PEG's master is Oscar R. Escamilla, ME 113362, Active, licensed since 2006, and based in Webb County where PEG actually works. Note that TDLR lists the company at 7220 Bob Bullock Loop while the site and BBB show 7913 McPherson Rd; both are Laredo addresses, worth confirming on your contract but not a red flag.
The rest of the record is solid with two gaps. The about page says the company was founded in 2015 in Laredo, and BBB dates the business start and incorporation to November 30, 2015, so the dates align. BBB rates it A+ and accredited since May 25, 2021, with 8 complaints in the last 3 years and 5 closed in the last 12 months. No enforcement action naming PEG was found. Solar is the only trade it advertises: panel and battery installation, solar pergolas and carports, maintenance, and panel cleaning, no roofing or HVAC side business. The gaps: the site promises an iron clad guarantee on every installation but states no duration or scope anywhere we could read, and PEG appears on no 2026 Solar Power World list, so there is no independent evidence of installation volume. Ask for the guarantee in writing with a number of years on it. If they will not put a term on iron clad, that tells you what it is worth.

This B rests on paper that matches: the license number the company claims is the license number the state confirms, and the founding dates line up across the site, BBB, and TDLR. What the grade cannot tell you is how big the operation is or what its guarantee actually covers, because neither is published. Before signing, get the guarantee as a written term with a stated number of years, and confirm which Laredo address and which legal name, PEG ENTERPRISES, appear on your contract.
