Pell Solar has the longest verified licensed history of any company in this Inland Empire batch: CSLB license 949122, issued June 23, 2010, current and active through June 30, 2028, with a 25,000 dollar American Contractors Indemnity bond effective January 1, 2023 and State Compensation Insurance Fund coverage running to December 1, 2026. BBB rates it A+ with two complaints in three years, one of which was published as resolved. Google shows 4.3 stars from 27 ratings in our Upland feed. On the surface that reads like a B.

Then the CSLB complaint-disclosure page loads. Under the contractor name Pell Solar Electricity, the state discloses Citation 2 2025 001859, dated February 25, 2026, status COMPLETED. Our published rubric treats a government enforcement action as a hard ceiling at D and marks that criterion failed. We apply it here the same way we would to a company we had never heard of. What we cannot tell you is what the citation was about. CSLB does not publish the subject matter on that page, so anyone who tells you it was minor, or that it was serious, is guessing.
