Pingo Solar
Pingo Solar cannot legally take your job right now. CSLB license 1012212 expired March 31, 2026 and the state page reads: this license is expired and not able to contract at this time. That single line settles the grade. It is a different situation from a company the state disciplined, and we want to be precise about that. There is no complaint-disclosure section on this license, no citation, no accusation, and no civil judgment. What we have looks like a business winding down or gone quiet, not one that got hit by regulators.
Other signals point the same direction. The Yelp listing for the Jurupa Valley location shows 4.3 stars from 27 reviews and is labeled CLOSED. The workers compensation entry says the license is exempt because the company certified it has no employees, effective February 15, 2024, with no expiration date. Owner David Yoo's two CSLB licenses are both non-operative: 1012212 expired and 994058 BOP Renewables Inc cancelled. A company with no employees, an expired license, and a closed local listing is not staffing a crew for a residential retrofit in Rancho Cucamonga next month.
The history was more substantial than that ending suggests, which is exactly why we are showing it. Solar Power World's supplier page records four list appearances: rank 140 in 2019 with 4,719 kW in Maryland and 812 kW in California, rank 259 in 2020 with 1,850 kW, rank 341 in 2021 with 913 kW, and rank 212 in 2018, with total kilowatts installed since founding listed at 12,250. That is more third-party volume evidence than any other company in this batch has. The company is absent from all three current 2025 and 2026 lists, and the trend in those kilowatt numbers runs downhill.
One more thing an Inland Empire homeowner should notice: Pingo does not claim your market. Its site names San Diego, Orange County, Bakersfield and Kern County as its markets, and the Solar Power World supplier page says the same, despite the Jurupa Valley address of record. Warranty language on the site covers roof-penetration leaks, module production, optimizer and inverter repair, and an underproduction refund, but with no term lengths, no exclusions, and no named obligor. If a company reaches out under this name, ask whether the license has been reactivated and verify it on CSLB yourself before any deposit changes hands.
The evidence
The founding dates conflict across four sources: Solar Power World's supplier page says year founded 2016, CSLB issued license 1012212 on 03/18/2016, California corporate records show Pingo Solar Inc officially filed December 17, 2013 under document number 3626585, and BBB lists 11 years in business. Ten years of licensed history is documented, but it ends with the license expiring in March 2026.
No complaint-disclosure section, citation, accusation, or civil judgment is displayed on license 1012212 as of 8/23/2026. Because disclosure is restricted by statute, read that as nothing the board may currently publish, not as a certified clean history. BBB rates Pingo Solar Inc A+, not accredited, with no complaints published and no three-year count. No state or federal enforcement action was found. The license problem here is lapse, not discipline.

Solar Power World's supplier page documents rank 212 in 2018, rank 140 in 2019 (4,719 kW Maryland and 812 kW California), rank 259 in 2020 (1,850 kW), rank 341 in 2021 (913 kW), and total kilowatts installed since founding of 12,250. That is genuine third-party volume history. Pingo is absent from the 2026 national list, the 2025 Top California list, and the 2026 Top Solar Installers list, so the documented volume is historical.
CSLB license 1012212, held by PINGO SOLAR INC of 3420 De Forest Cir, Jurupa Valley, is C-46 Solar only with no C-10 Electrical and no B General Building. It was issued 03/18/2016, expired 03/31/2026, and reads: this license is expired and not able to contract at this time. The license is also exempt from workers compensation on a certification that it has no employees, effective 02/15/2024, which sits badly beside any claim of in-house installation.

The site describes coverage for roof-penetration leaks, module production, DC optimizer and inverter repair or replacement, and a refund if the system underproduces, but states no term length, no exclusions, and no entity carrying the obligation. It also markets a 12-year cellular monitoring subscription, which is a subscription, not a warranty. An unexpired licensee is a prerequisite for any of it to be enforceable in practice.

How to read this
Do not read this F as a claim that Pingo did bad work. The volume history on the Solar Power World supplier page is better documented than most companies we grade, and the state record shows no discipline at all. The F is about the present tense: an expired license means the company is not permitted to contract, so there is nothing here for a homeowner to sign today.
