A D is not an accusation. It says the evidence needed to evaluate a contractor is missing, and that missing evidence is itself the risk you are being asked to carry. The grade would move if this business produced a CSLB license number, a registered entity name, and a street address that all match each other. Until then, treat any pitch under this name as unverified, insist on a license number you can look up yourself before a deposit, and remember that similar names belong to companies with their own separate records.
