Semper Solaris
The evidence
Semper Solaris says it was founded in 2012. CSLB issued its current license on October 26, 2012, and BBB reports 14 years in business. Those independent timing markers line up with the company's founding statement.

BBB lists an A+ rating and accreditation, but reports 165 total complaints in the last three years and 35 closed in the last 12 months. CSLB displays no disciplinary action or citation, and BBB shows no government-action alert. Rojas v. Semper Solaris Construction Inc. is pending in San Diego Superior Court as a Labor Other Labor action, identified as an employment class and PAGA matter rather than a consumer-protection case. The complaint volume remains a material customer-service concern despite the company's scale.

Solar Power World ranked Semper Solaris 144 nationally in its 2026 Top Solar Contractors list and reported 12,867.54 kW installed in 2025. It also ranked the company number 20 on the 2026 Top Solar Installers list. The 2025 California list reported 11,272.51 kW installed in California during 2024. This is independently reported volume, not a company headline.
CSLB lists Semper Home, doing business as Semper Solaris, as a corporation with license 978152. The license is current and active through October 31, 2026 and carries B General Building, C-10 Electrical, C-46 Solar, C-39 Roofing, and C-20 HVAC classifications. The detail page displays current bond and workers compensation information and no disciplinary action or citation.

Semper Solaris says its products and labor are covered by warranties and names a Silfab Enhanced Labor Warranty, but it does not publish a duration or the terms for solar workmanship. It separately says it can offer a 50-year Owens Corning roof warranty, and solar module warranties are manufacturer 25-year coverage. The solar labor obligation still needs a contract document.

How to read this
This is the profile where size cuts both ways. It proves capacity and a serious licensing footprint, while the public complaint count means your own job needs an accountable owner. Ask who handles design changes, inspection delays, roof issues, and post-install service. Put a named escalation contact and response timeline in the deal file. Then read the actual solar labor warranty, not just the product and roof headlines. Our full rubric, including how our own installation business gets graded on the same scale, is on the methodology page. We are a solar installer and we partner with other solar companies. Grading is structurally separated from revenue; see disclosures.
