The CSLB entity is STE ELECTRIC, doing business as SOLAR TECHNOLOGIES, license 932914, C-10 Electrical and C-46 Solar, current and active since May 21, 2009 at 14 Beta Ct in San Ramon. BBB rates it A+ with the same address and no published complaints.
Know what you are buying, though. The homepage today positions the company as California's commercial solar design-build contractor, claiming more than 1,000 commercial projects completed since 1998, with residential served alongside commercial, municipal, and non-profit work. A homeowner is not the core customer the site is selling to. That 1998 founding claim is also a decade older than the paper trail: the CSLB license issued May 21, 2009, and BBB dates the business start to the same day, with incorporation on March 13, 2009. Whatever operated before 2009 was not this licensed entity.
Two smaller notes. The about page claims a best-in-industry 25-year warranty without saying what it covers, so get the scope in writing before treating it as a workmanship warranty. And the qualifying individual, James Samuel Donalson, is covered by a filed $25,000 qualifying-individual bond rather than an ownership exemption, the only QI in this group with one, which is a neutral structural fact worth knowing when you read the license record. Worth a quote, especially for larger or commercial-grade projects, with the warranty scope and the crew model nailed down in the contract.

This B rests on the rare combination of a clean active license and third-party volume data, which most residential installers never publish. It does not certify the 1998 story or the 25-year warranty, both of which are company claims the paper trail does not fully back. If you are a homeowner, ask how much of that 9,985.76 kW was residential, who performs the install, and exactly what the 25-year warranty covers, in the contract, not in conversation.
