First, the license structure, which is a Texas quirk worth understanding: Texas licenses the electrician, not the solar company. A solar installer operates under a TDLR electrical contractor license, the TECL, held by the company and qualified by a designated master electrician. Solartime USA LLC holds its own: TECL 37586, active, issued October 19, 2022, expiring October 19, 2027, at 1758 Firman Dr Ste 100 in Richardson. The designated master, Ron W Hardy, ME 2671, has held his master license since March 2004, though TDLR records his county as out of state. That is a verifiable license held in the company's own name, which many Texas solar sellers cannot say.

The warranty is the other soft spot. The homepage states a 25-year warranty that its own wording applies to the panels, plus a production guarantee promising to refund the difference if the system underproduces. Panel warranties come from the manufacturer either way. What no fetched page states is a workmanship warranty: who fixes a roof leak or a bad connection five years in, and for how long. Get that in writing before you sign, along with the production guarantee terms. Ask, get the workmanship coverage on paper, and this is a credible DFW shortlist candidate.

This B rests on a license and a BBB record that check out, and it withholds the top tier for reasons you can act on. The company's own timeline claim does not match the state and BBB records, no workmanship warranty is published, and no independent volume figure exists. Ask Solartime to explain the 2008 claim, put workmanship coverage in the contract, and name the crew doing the install. Good answers to those three questions make this record look better than the grade; bad ones tell you what you needed to know.
