Standard Solar is a commercial and community solar developer headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, founded in 2004 and owned by Brookfield Renewable since 2022. It was the #1 installer in Massachusetts by 2025 volume with 19,838.65 kW, but none of that is residential rooftop work: its business is utility, commercial, and community solar projects that it develops, funds, owns, and operates. If you are a homeowner, you cannot hire Standard Solar to put panels on your roof. You can, however, subscribe to one of its community solar farms if you rent or your roof does not qualify.
