Installer profile
Suntrek Solar
Suntrek is a reasonable company to get a quote from, with one caution: know which Suntrek business line you are buying. The legal entity is Suntrek Industries Inc, headquartered at 5 Holland, Building 215, Irvine, not Lake Forest as some directories list it. CSLB license 859460 is current and active with both C46 Solar and C10 Electrical classifications, issued 05/25/2005 and expiring 05/31/2027, with a $25,000 bond and workers compensation through 09/01/2026. Before 2005 the business operated as Roy Heine and Associates Inc, DBA Suntrek Industries, on license 676926 from 09/13/1993 until the corporation converted out. Neither license shows any disciplinary action, complaint disclosure, or civil judgment.
The site says Since 1991. No fetched record confirms that. The earliest license in the CSLB chain issued 09/13/1993, and BBB dates the business start to 11/11/1994, so the documented history runs from 1993 to 1994 onward, about 2 to 3 years short of the claim. BBB counts 31 years in business, which is still a long run; just read 1991 as company wording, not record. BBB rates Suntrek A+ without accreditation, but neither fetched BBB page displays complaint counts, so complaint history is a blank, not a clean bill.
Structurally, Suntrek is not a typical local installer. It describes itself as a manufacturer, equipment integrator, and licensed solar contractor selling through hundreds of North American dealers, and its workers compensation classification codes are plumbing and millwright codes, consistent with its solar pool heating and hot water lines. The claim of over 30,000 customers worldwide is the company's own number; Suntrek appears on none of the checked Solar Power World lists. Warranties are described as outstanding with no published duration or scope, so pin the terms down in the contract.
The evidence
The verifiable record starts 09/13/1993, when predecessor Roy Heine and Associates Inc, DBA Suntrek Industries, took license 676926; the current license 859460 issued 05/25/2005 when that corporation converted out, and BBB dates the business start to 11/11/1994 with incorporation 1/1/2005. The site's Since 1991 claim predates every fetched record by about 2 years and is not confirmed by any of them.

The CSLB detail pages for licenses 859460 and 676926 show no disciplinary action, complaint disclosure, or civil judgment, and enforcement searches found no AG, DA, CPUC, or FTC action naming the company. BBB rates Suntrek A+ without accreditation, but neither the profile nor the complaints page displays complaint counts for the last 3 years or 12 months, so third party complaint history remains unread.

The company claims over 30,000 customers worldwide, locations in California and Nevada, and hundreds of dealers throughout North America. Those are its own statements. No Suntrek entry appears in the 2026 Top Solar Contractors, 2026 Top Solar Installers, or 2025 Top California Solar Contractors tables, so no independent volume figure exists.

How to read this
This grade credits what the records actually show: a clean two license chain back to 1993 and dual solar and electrical classifications. It does not credit the 1991 founding claim, the 30,000 customer figure, or the warranty language, because no fetched record backs any of them. If you are quoting Suntrek for photovoltaic work rather than pool heating, ask who performs the install, since the company sells through dealers as well as its own crews, and get the warranty duration in writing. Our full rubric, including how our own installation business gets graded on the same scale, is on the methodology page. We are a solar installer and we partner with other solar companies. Grading is structurally separated from revenue; see disclosures.
