Installer profile
Synergy Power
Synergy Power is worth a quote, with two things to nail down in writing before you sign. The CSLB entity is a corporation named SYNERGY POWER, license 1025715, holding B General Building and C-10 Electrical classifications, current and active since April 12, 2017 at 1118 Tulane Ct in Livermore. The qualifying individual is owner Jason August Piekarczyk, whose license history goes back to a 2005 Castro Valley construction company. That history also explains a quirk in the Google listings: the brand shows up twice, once in Livermore with a 4.9 rating across 210 votes and once with a Castro Valley area tag at 5.0 across 2 votes. There is one CSLB entity, not two. The small Castro Valley listing appears to be residue from the owner's earlier company, and no second license exists behind it.
The founding story is inconsistent, which matters less than it sounds but should still be understood. The company's about page says Synergy Power was founded in 2017, BBB dates the business start to January 15, 2008, and that 2008 date matches the day Piekarczyk associated with his predecessor construction license. Treat the solar company as a 2017 business run by a contractor licensed since 2005, not as an 18-year-old solar installer.
The gaps are what keep this at B. Neither the homepage nor the about page states any workmanship or equipment warranty terms, so you are negotiating warranty coverage from zero. BBB rates the company A+ but publishes no complaint counts and no complaint text, which means the complaint history is effectively unmeasured rather than clean. And no Synergy Power entry appears in the reviewed Solar Power World tables, so installation volume rests entirely on the company's word. Ask for written warranty terms and two or three recent Bay Area references before committing.
The evidence
CSLB issued license 1025715 on April 12, 2017. The about page says the company was founded in 2017, while BBB dates the business start to January 15, 2008, the same date the owner associated with his predecessor construction license 909061. The solar entity is nine years licensed; the owner has held licenses since 2005.

No complaint disclosure link appears on the CSLB license page, and searches found no attorney general, district attorney, CPUC, or FTC action naming the company. BBB rates it A+ but states no 3-year or 12-month complaint counts and publishes no complaints, so the complaint history is unmeasured rather than confirmed clean.

No Synergy Power entry appears in the reviewed 2026 Top Solar Contractors, 2025 Top California Solar Contractors, or 2026 Top Solar Installers tables, so no independent megawatt total or project count verifies installation scale.
CSLB lists SYNERGY POWER as a current and active corporation with B General Building and C-10 Electrical classifications under license 1025715, expiring April 30, 2027, with a $25,000 contractor bond and workers compensation coverage through June 1, 2027. Qualifying individual Jason August Piekarczyk certified 10 percent or more ownership.

How to read this
A B here means the state paperwork checks out and nothing adverse surfaced, not that the company's work has been independently measured. The two blanks in this record, warranty terms and complaint counts, are exactly the things a contract and a reference call can fill. Get the warranty in writing with a stated duration, and ask who performs the installation, since the crew model is implied on the site but never stated outright. Our full rubric, including how our own installation business gets graded on the same scale, is on the methodology page. We are a solar installer and we partner with other solar companies. Grading is structurally separated from revenue; see disclosures.
