The company prints that same number on its own terms page, which is a small thing that a surprising number of solar sellers skip. The license carries a $25,000 Travelers contractor bond effective February 12, 2024, and the state page shows no disciplinary action, no citation, no accusation, and no civil judgment. Classifications are C-10 Electrical and C-39 Roofing. There is no C-46 Solar on the license, which is legal for PV work under a C-10 but worth knowing if you assumed the solar classification was there.

Then the marketing and the paperwork stop agreeing. The home page says the company has been serving clients "for over 20 years". BBB records the business as started August 4, 2016 and lists 10 years in business. The state license dates to 2018. Nothing in the CSLB or BBB record supports a two-decade history under this name, and no predecessor license was found for it. That does not make the company incompetent. It does mean the first claim on the site is the one you can most easily disprove, and you should ask what the 20 years refers to before you treat anything else on the page as precise.

The complaint picture is the reason this lands at C rather than higher. BBB gives Vibe Solar an A, and the stated reason for holding it below A+ is "Length of time business has taken to respond to complaint(s)". There are four complaints in the last three years and zero closed in the last 12 months. One published complaint came from a new-construction buyer who found the panels were never interconnected with the utility; Vibe answered that the job came through a home builder and said it would handle the application, and the case is marked resolved. Read that as the shape of the risk: paperwork and interconnection follow-through, rather than allegations of bad hardware.

Worth a quote, with conditions. Ask for the 25-year labor guarantee and the roof-penetration leak coverage as contract attachments with exclusions and transfer terms written out, because those figures appear on the site with no exclusions, no transfer language, and no backing party. Confirm the workers compensation policy is renewed: the certificate on file with National Casualty expired September 5, 2026, 13 days after this record was pulled. And get the interconnection milestone in writing, with a date and a named person, given the complaint history.
