Viridis Energy Solutions
The evidence
BBB business start July 1, 2014, incorporated July 30, 2014, which makes 12 years in business. The company markets itself on 30+ years of combined industry experience; we grade on the entity's own record, not the resumes behind it. Owner Wissem Taboubi, locally owned.

BBB rating A+, accredited since March 2025, with 3 complaints in three years, each answered or resolved. No lawsuits or government actions found. One caution for anyone searching: the 2018 Massachusetts AG settlement with Viridian Energy involved a different company, a retail electricity supplier, not this installer.

The 3,000+ customers and 54,219 kW figures come from the company's own homepage, and Viridis is not listed on the 2026 Solar Power World Massachusetts contractor rankings, which is the independent volume source we use for this state. A 10-employee shop with 54 MW installed would be an outlier; until a third party reports its volume, this stays a claim.

MA electrician license 14823, verified active by BuildZoom in June 2025, and HIC registration 185925, verified active in February 2025. BuildZoom checks state records, which is a step above a company publishing its own numbers, though we still recommend a two-minute check at the state Contractor Hub before signing.

No workmanship or production warranty term is published on the company site or its EnergySage profile. The EnergySage page offers only a statement that the company stands behind its work, which is not a warranty. Get the labor coverage period and production commitment in writing before you sign anything.

How to read this
Viridis inverts the usual pattern. Most installers publish big warranty promises and hide their license status; this one has independently checked active licenses and a nearly spotless complaint file, but publishes no warranty terms and self-reports volume numbers we cannot corroborate. The conduct evidence is good. The paperwork you need before signing is a written warranty and a straight answer on how many systems they actually installed last year. Our full rubric, including how our own installation business gets graded on the same scale, is on the methodology page. We are a solar installer and we partner with other solar companies. Grading is structurally separated from revenue; see disclosures.
