Installer profile
Your Energy Solutions
Your Energy Solutions is a real, licensed, long-running contractor with a complaint pattern you should read before quoting. The CSLB entity is BAY AREA SOLAR SOLUTIONS INC, doing business as YOUR ENERGY SOLUTIONS, license 928652, current and active since February 10, 2009 at 290 Rickenbacker Circle in Livermore. The classification set is unusually broad: B General Building, C-10 Electrical, C-39 Roofing, and C-20 HVAC, which backs up the one company, one warranty pitch for combined roof and solar jobs. The site claims 100 percent in-house crews with no third-party installers, one of the few companies in this group to state that outright.
The problem is not the panels, it is the paperwork. BBB rates the company C+ for failure to respond to 1 complaint, with 8 complaints in the last 3 years and 5 closed in the last 12 months, and the published complaints cluster around utility interconnection. One says PG&E withdrew a NEM 2 application because YES filled it out incorrectly, and the complainant later reported that a PG&E ombudsman investigation found no record of the call YES blamed. Another says the NEM application for a 2014 system was never recorded, costing the owner NEM 1 benefits. In a state where your interconnection date sets your rate plan for 20 years, application errors are expensive in a way a bad shingle is not. To be fair, the record also shows the company engaging: it refunded a $699 permit-inspection contract in full, posted its internal ticket history in response to a battery complaint, and explained a December 6, 2024 Enphase firmware issue it says it manually corrected for roughly 500 customers.
Two more things to pin down. The homepage promises a full warranty for roof and solar but publishes no duration or scope anywhere fetched; a complainant referenced a 25-year warranty, but that is a consumer statement, not a company publication. And the qualifying individual, Louay George Zughbaba, also runs a second active Livermore license, PRO INSTALLATIONS CO, 1058678, so ask which entity your contract names and which crew shows up. Worth a quote if you want roof plus solar from one shop; insist on the warranty in writing and on seeing the PG&E interconnection application before it is submitted.
The evidence
CSLB issued license 928652 on February 10, 2009, BBB dates the business start and incorporation to December 19, 2008, and the site says it has been doing this for over 15 years. The three sources agree within weeks, which is more consistency than most founding stories in this track.

BBB rates the company C+ for failure to respond to 1 complaint, with 8 complaints in 3 years and 5 closed in the last 12 months; published complaints center on interconnection paperwork, including a PG&E-withdrawn NEM 2 application and an unrecorded 2014 NEM application. No CSLB complaint disclosure appears on the license, and no attorney general, district attorney, CPUC, or FTC action was found, though a 2023 complainant said they also filed with CSLB.
No Your Energy Solutions entry appears in the reviewed 2026 Top Solar Contractors, 2025 Top California Solar Contractors, or 2026 Top Solar Installers tables, so installation scale rests on company statements alone.

The homepage promises a full warranty covering both roof and solar on combined jobs but publishes no duration or scope; the warranty and about pages returned client errors when fetched. A January 10, 2025 complainant referenced a 25-year warranty from the company, which is a consumer statement, not a published term.

How to read this
A C means licensed and operating with a complaint pattern you can name. Here the pattern is specific enough to act on: the risk sits in utility paperwork, not craftsmanship. Ask to review the interconnection application yourself before submission, get written confirmation when PG&E accepts it, and require the full warranty language, with a stated number of years, inside the contract rather than on a sales slide. Our full rubric, including how our own installation business gets graded on the same scale, is on the methodology page. We are a solar installer and we partner with other solar companies. Grading is structurally separated from revenue; see disclosures.
